Working with Skidmore Owings Merrill Architects, WHITIN DESIGN WORKS provided design and technical drawings for the 400-room Resort Hotel located in the foothills of the Tortolita Mountains. The hotel and landscapes spaces are sensitively located and site planned to preserve the desert wilderness landscape. The resort features a multi-level 'canyon' Main Pool, spiral waterslides, an interactive "Flash Flood" and Ocotillo fountains, water runnels, sand entry pool, scenic trails, river and "cowboy poetry" etched in boulders at campfire circles.
